Community Projects for Seniors – Free Meal Delivery on Major Holidays
Holidays can be difficult for all senior citizens, but more so for seniors limited by income. Our goal is to provide joy to those low income seniors, helping lessen loneliness and depression during the holidays.
Each year on Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas day our volunteers deliver more than 4,000 free hot meals to 200 low-income buildings in and 50 cities of 8 counties in Southeastern Wisconsin. This continuing support helps serve 16,000 senior citizens so they don’t have to travel to a meal site during cold weather.
Individuals served by Community Projects for Seniors know they can count on us not only for a hearty meal, but for a smile and a kind word from a caring volunteer.
For the 2021 Charity Golf Tournament, over $30,000 was raised to support Community Projects for Seniors!

UW-Richland Alumni Association Home Brew Fest
Officials with the UW-Richland Alumni Association are pleased to announce plans for the fourth annual Home Brew Fest, scheduled this year for Saturday, October 1. The date coincides with the Association’s Fall Alumni Day and the city’s Center Color Fest celebration.
The fate of the Home Brew Fest was in doubt until very recently, when a UW-Richland alumnus stepped forward with a plan to fund costs associated with the needed liability insurance. Tom Houck, Class of 1984, is currently an attorney in Milwaukee, and is a partner in the firm of Jacobson, Schrinsky and Houck, S.C. Houck was very actively engaged as a student at UW-Richland, serving as Student Senate president in the 1983-84 academic year.
“We are happy to help the UW-Richland Alumni Association in making the Home Brew Fest possible,” says Houck. “As part of our statewide personal injury practice we try to give back to the communities that we serve.”
